What is MFA and why do we have to do it?

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) significantly improves the confidentiality of your data on our platform. When passwords (something you know) are the only factor of authentication, your account is extremely vulnerable to compromise because passwords are usually not unique and can be easily broken. When a password is paired with a second (or third) factor of authentication, for example, an SMS code (something you have), access to your account becomes that much more difficult for attackers. We take every measure within our power to protect your data, but there are some measures that are only within the customers control; therefore, we implement technologies such as MFA to encourage our customers to secure their accounts and data.
